Let your kids code and create apps in Programming with Swift for Kids, a workshop by mobile development firm Rogomi for children ages 9 to 13. The workshop is slated to run from July 30 to August 3, 2018, Monday to Friday (8 am to 12 nn) at Areté, Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights, Quezon City.
In this 5-day bootcamp, kids will learn the basics of programming, explore fundamental coding concepts via Swift Playgrounds and build mobile applications using real Swift code. Practical, hands-on, play-based learning will accompany most of the lessons. Kids will also have fun participating in unplugged activities that will enhance their coding skills and foster creativity.
Registration fee per participant is Php19,500, inclusive of snacks and a course certificate. An early bird rate of Php18,000 is applicable to those who will pay on or before July 10, 2018.
Who Should Attend
Our five-day program has been designed to teach the basics of programming and Swift fundamentals to children ages 9 to 13 who are interested in building their first iOS application. No prior coding knowledge or experience is required.
Participants must bring an iPad running iOS 10.3 or later or a Mac running macOS 10.13.2 or later.
For iPad, Swift Playgrounds must be installed. For Mac, Xcode must be installed.
